Project Manager:

Job Description: Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and successfully accomplish projects independently, has complete project management responsibility for complex projects and programs.

Advanced knowledge of project management field. Complete responsibility for a project, ensuring quality of all work carried out. Manage all phases of the project life-cycle including the following phases: concept development; requirements analysis; design and development; procurement; test and evaluation; deployment and life-cycle maintenance. Gathers information, defines customer requirements, defines team members and the scope of projects. Generates, updates and maintains project portfolios.

Prepare project schedule and effort estimates for design and implementation of large-scale projects. Work with multi-discipline groups for the development of pre-operating costs. Prepare project forecasts and schedules and track costs. Analyze project data to predict/anticipate obstacles, delineate strategies and may take independent action on situations that may cause a project delay or could impact project deliverables. Perform risk management activities.

Manage and oversee project technical efforts being performed by in-house and vendor personnel. Review and approve project change requests. Establish change order control and tracking. Inspect or direct the inspection of work to ensure compliance to established specifications

Prepare weekly status reporting information and conduct regularly scheduled project status and technical meetings.

This position has responsibility for project management for projects that may cut across multiple sites and multiple disciplines.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) with 5 -10 years minimum experience required.

The following requirements are highly regarded:

qProfessional project management certification (e.g. PMP by PMI)

qProduct design and/or application knowledge/experience with communications technology

qExperience dealing directly with senior executives

qExperience in working in an international, multi-site environment

qIn-depth skill set of MS Project (i.e., External Linking, Master schedules, Project Server, macros, etc.)
